Adam Hamilton

Adam Hamilton is the senior pastor of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas and the author of over 20 books and several small group studies. His titles include Creed, Half Truths, The Way, The Call, The Journey and Moses. In his writing and preaching Hamilton focuses on life's tough questions, and addressing the challenging issues we face today.

Who better to ready your heart for the coming of Jesus than his precursor cousin, John the Baptist? Hamilton's Advent study explores four themes in John's message: "A People Prepared for the Lord," "God Is Gracious," "The Fruit of Repentance," and "Witnesses Testifying to the Light." Leader's guide and DVD also available, sold separately. 176 pages, hardcover from Abingdon.

In Luke: Jesus and the Outsiders, Outcasts, and Outlaws, pastor and bestselling author Adam Hamilton explores the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus as told in the Gospel of Luke. Through Luke’s stories we find Jesus’ care and compassion for all as he welcomes sinners and outcasts. As we study Luke and see Jesus’ concern for those who were considered unimportant, we hear a hopeful and inspiring word for our lives today.
