There are two different kinds of Bible markers....and this is the WRONG marker.

You want the YC Bible Hi-Glider Gel Marker. Please do not be deceived.....make certain that the YC is on the Gel marker that you order.

I made the mistake of ordering this type , without the YC and they are junk. The purple, green and blue are way too light and they all arrived dry and crumbling. Each time I tried to use them I had to use a kleenex to wipe them off on the ends because they were all crumbly and would get peices all over the pages of my bible. UGH!

Never again!

Now i make certain that I purchase only YC Bible Hi-Glider Gel Markers!

First - the pink and purple highlighters *did* bleed through. The other colors do not, though. Maybe my bible just has cheap paper?

Next - they go on thick and waxy, but "dry" flat and smooth. The colors are not obnoxiously bright and the words are clearly visible. Perfect for my needs!

Last - I accidentally left them in my car on a 110 degree day and they did not melt or dry out!

I definitely recommend these highlighters.

I have been trying for years to find the perfect highlighters for my Bible study...ALL of them bleed through - no matter what the package might say. Thinking I'd try these and they would be just the same, I ordered a set. Received them and pulled one out to notice they looked different. I tried a small mark on a back index page in my Bible...INCREDIBLE! It wasn't overly bright, but highlighted well and I couldn't even tell from the other side.

I gave a set to my Pastor who was also amazed and immediately started coloring a verse. They are so smooth I even tried writing on a Kleenex....it went on smoothly and didn't show through to the 2nd ply. These are amazing and I doubt that I will ever again try to use anything else. !!!!!

These do not bleed through but I would also describe them more as a wax highlighter than a gel (like a pen). They clump similar to the way a glue stick sometimes does and it is tacky when applied. The clumps stuck to the opposite page when I closed my Bible. These are definitely not what I was hoping they would be like.

CBD carried a Hi-Glider put out by YC. I purchased one of those. I then purchased these. They are not the same. Those put out by YC is a superior product. For whatever reason CBD no longer carries the YC gel sticks. That's to bad because like Ellen S. experienced these gel gliders leave little blobs on the page when they dry out. Also the YC colors themselves are superior. If you had the opportunity to try the YC brand you would know the difference.
