Oh, how the Berenstain Bears remind me of my childhood. I absolutely loved getting lost in those books. And I seem to remember cartoons of the books as well. I've always adored this cute little bear family, and was so excited to get one to review. Of course, it will also make it's way to my Sunday School class to be read to some sweet littles as well.

This book is beautifully written and illustrated. It shouldnt surprise me, every Berenstain Bears book Ive ever read was incredible. I love how they told the story just the way it is written, and in a way that children can understand it. Isn't it so important to tell our littles the true meaning of Christmas? This book does just that!

This book was provided to me free of charge by Book Look in return for my honest review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

You'll want this for the little person in your life. I know there are about a billion retellings of the Christmas story, but this one is truly special. It combines the friendliness of the Berenstain Bears with the Truth of the Gospel in a way that isn't cutesie or preachy. It's really precious. I'm giving it five stars.

I like the Berenstain Bears ordinarily, but this book is in my top three faves. Even my 14-year-old was admiring the illustrations and enjoying the book. Jan and Mike Berenstain put a great deal of thought into every phrase in the writing and every expression on the bears' faces, the colours used... everything.

The actual storyline is just as you would expect. It begins with Mary being visited by an angel and ends with Joseph being warned in a dream to take his family and flee. No crazy embellishments, but they did leave out the bit about how Joseph was told not to worry about Mary being unfaithful and to go marry her anyway.

I have the highest praise for this book. I received it for free through BookLook bloggers, but am not required to submit a positive review.

I remember this book as a child. The Bernstein bears BOOKS are the very few things I can pass on to my children that are innocent with no real hidden agendas nor subliminal messaging. Children's books, movies, tv shows, & games are NOT all created equal go with the Holy Spirit. God Bless Happy Save shopping everyone!

Ive had to write up this review on the sly and it was all I could do to hide the package when it arrived because the kids LOVE to help me open packages. Thankfully, I usually get multiple packages so there are lots of others to distract them with.

This is a book everyone needs for Christmas!

Possibly the thing I enjoy most about the Berenstain Bears, is the fact that it doesnt matter how old you are there are things about the story we will ALWAYS enjoy!

Its also wonderful to have so many of the beloved Bible stories (I put that in italics because too many people forget that these stories ACTUALLY happened!)

Nonetheless I believe it really helps children to remember and treasure those stories to have these stories illustrating how it all went.

And even though they dont know I have this one yet they send me all over looking for books theyre missing every time they get a new one. Perhaps Ill take advantage of the time between now and Christmas to snag some more.
