This a nice, high quality Greek NT. I like the bigger font than the earlier editions, even though it is bigger in size. The dictionary is handy and helpful. In this imitation black leather edition, the cover is not flimsy like many of our regular Bibles. The cover is leather-like but it must be covering a sort of a hard cover that can bend a bit. The corners are rounded. Personally I'm glad that I got this edition over the red hardcover edition. The content is the same.

This Greek New Testament is more simply called UBS5, which is United Bible Society 5th edition. It is the standard Greek text for learning Biblical Greek, for textual criticism. Each page of the Greek text includes a textual apparatus on the bottom. Within the textual apparatus, textual variants are listed with the manuscripts that attest to the variant.

So, if 10 manuscripts say "Jesus" and 5 manuscripts record "Jesus Christ" and 3 say "Christ Jesus" those variations are listed at the bottom. Each variant is weighed by a set of guiding principles that then determines which variant is most likely original. The UBS has graded their choices by (A) most likely, (B) likely, (C), and (D) respectively, which is helpful in knowing how confident they are in their decisions.

While the UBS5 has been the standard and remains necessary for textual criticism, I welcome the addition of new insight and new methodologies in Tyndale House, Cambridge's newest editions and textual apparatus. This specific UBS5 is a quality edition, sewn binding, which creamy paper that is a pleasure to read from.
