The reason I got this version was simply because of the size. They have several other versions of BHS out there, but this one is the largest, and thus has the largest print. If you're looking for portability, there are better options, but this version will give you the least strain on the eyes. Other than that, well.... it's BHS.

The standard edition of the BHS is the best edition of BHS to buy. Although it is a bit more cumbersome than the compact edition, the beauty of the font and the facility with which it is read more than makes up for this. This is especially valuable when doing a lot of reading, in order to save one's eyes. The CBD price of 49.95 simply cannot be beat.

A great addition to the original languages of the Bible. BHS apparatus needs some latin understanding to use the symbols. I also own the electronic version. Great to see the work that the German Bible Society has contributed to Christian scholarship and getting into knowing God's Word.
